Time for a bottle of the good stuff and a team meeting. Both of you sit down (without the influence of family and barring their opinions creeping into your brain- don’t let other people spend your wedding money) and have an earnest conversation about the most important aspects of the day to each of you. Narrow it down and make sure you’re on the same page about where the money is going to go. Keep in mind that you will be spending a lot of your budget to feed your guests (which may mean cutting your guest list and telling your parents they can’t invite people you don’t know) and on your venue

Once you have your list of what's important, you will be able to assign approximate percentages from top to bottom of how much of the budget you’re allotting each category. You can expect a combined 50% to go to the food and venue. You will also be able to refer back to what you wrote when it comes time to make choices or when you’re feeling like you’ve lost sight of what you want. Brain-storm your favorite places if you don’t want to spend money on a traditional wedding venue. Having a wedding in the great outdoors often times only requires a permit. Reception ideas could be anything from backyards to your favorite bar or restaurant to somewhere super unique to you.

Spend your money in the ways that are most important to you.

That inevitable conversation. You can really blow through your budget quickly if you dont give every dollar a name right away

This is your party.

Next Steps

Posing (without letting you look ‘posed’) is something that I’m super passionate about!  I also find ways to capture your own unique personalities.

6. We don’t know what we’re doing… will you coach us?

Absolutely! Topping my wish list right now is a summer wedding in Waterton, a sandy elopement at Burning Man or Iceland!

5. What about destination weddings? Do you travel?

I am completely comfortable and happy shooting solo for weddings that are around 150 guests and smaller but no matter what, the option to add my second shooter is always there!

4. Do you have a second shooter?

I typically deliver around 80 to 100 individually edited images per hour of coverage but every wedding and session is different. It is my goal to capture your day fully and authentically, leaving nothing important out!

3. How many photos can we expect to receive?

I do a $500 retainer to hold the date and a signed contract. The remaining balance is due the week of your wedding or the week before your session.

2. How can we book?

Typically I book weddings 12-18 months in advance, but please contact me at any time to check my availability! Other session typically 2-4 weeks in advance.

1. How far in advance do you book?
